The new Iraqi Ministry of Defense is located inside the Green Zone where the Parliament used to be. Two wings of the building were destroyed by the bombings in 2003. The total size of the building is 90,000m² : Phase 1 consisted in renovating the first wing within 20 days. Phase 2 and 3 consisted in rebuilding the destroyed areas implementing new steel structures and also building an additional floor. This project included the daily management of more than 500 workers on site and was accomplished in a period of 7 months. In addition to the buildings, Sigma built 2 new parking lots for 500 vehicles in less than 10 days. WASTE AND WATER TREATMENT PLANT Ministry of Defense, International Zone, Baghdad KELLOGG BROWN and ROOT Services Inc. In addition to the Ministry of Defense renovation, Sigma was selected by KBR to install a new Waste and Water Treatment Plant for the Ministry of Defense in April 2005 in a period of 2 months New ELECTORAL BUILDING of Iraq : LAGUNA CONSTRUCTION COMPANY Inc. Located in the Green Zone, we have renovated a 3 Floor Building for the new Electoral Commission of Iraq and the United Nations. The project consists in removing all previous installations and implementing more than 6000 m2 of new modern offices within 30 days. Offices are ready to use since September 1st, 2004.
